BFF

Abi hung out with her friend Avi (Avitol) today for the second time in her little 10 week life. They are so cute together! Avi is kind and sweet and Abi just took it all in (ok, to be honest, she may have been working on a project at the time, if you know what I mean). I felt so much joy just being around my friend Mandy and her daughter--two moms sharing our kids and experiences. Who knows, maybe someday Abi will need some knee pads for volleyball and Avi will be there for her just like her mom was for me (inside story :)

The moms before Avi and Abi. Who would've thought that we'd both have daughters so close in name and age!! Love you Mandy!

My Little Smiley Spitter

Just wanted to post a video of my munchkin smiling, since it can be hard to capture in a photo. She's in a pretty happy and alert phase right now, which is really fun.
This is the morning before we go to the doctor for Abi's two month shots. Any guesses as to what she weighs? My guess is 12 pounds, 6 oz. James says 13.

Pumpkin Kisses

These photos are a couple of weeks old, but too cute to pass up. We spent Halloween with our friends, the Beyms... Kyle and Shana, Isa[bella] the pirate, Olivia the witch, Caitlyn the goth-girl, and Penelope the ladybug. We had a geat time trick-or-treating! Here are a few shots of Abigail the pumpkin:

Okay, so truth be told, Abi was looking for food, but as a proud mom, I'm insisting it was a kiss!

Happy Harvest!

This weekend, we went on a fun family outing to the pumpkin patch.  Abi slept through most of it, but we're convinced she had a great time!

Portraits of Abi

It's hard not to want to take a million photos of this cute little muffin!

She's Here!!

Born on Wednesday, October 24, 2008 at 4:40am, Abigail MacKenna Thue weighed in at 8lbs, 8oz and was 22" long.  We got to the hospital around 7pm the evening before after Kelly's water broke, and other than a long period of pushing, things went pretty smoothly. About ten hours once labor had really started.

Our doula, Candi (www.birthgoddess.com), was a huge help and comfort throughout pregnancy and the whole labor experience. Thanks, Candi, for all your reassurance and expertise!

Dad and Abi in the nursery, where Dad helped with the first bath.
We're on our way home!

Parris Studios Maternity Portraits Part III

Parris Studios Maternity Portraits Part II

Parris Studios Maternity Shots Part I

These shots were taken about a month ago at the Fullerton Arboretum by our friend Will Parris at Parris Studios (www.parris-studios.com).  We love them!!  In fact, there were so many we liked, we have to post them in three segments.  If you think I look big here, think again!  Abigail will definately be a big girl!  Enjoy and thanks Will!!

Abi's Room

Just wanted to post a few quick shots of Abigail's room for those of you who haven't seen it yet. It's coming together!

Belly shots from home.

This weekend (at 38 weeks) James snapped a few shots of the growing belly to document this amazing state of pregnancy. Abigail's doing well and could be here any day now!
